If you live in Houston like we do, we have had A LOT of rain this year so far! Luckily we haven’t had to deal with any flooding, but it’s definitely been a task keeping the kids indoors all day. So we decided to host a rain cloud craft play date to embrace all the rain we’ve been getting recently. If anything, at least it has been keeping things a little cooler than normal.
We used a bag of cotton balls and some construction paper. I just cut out clouds and raindrops and then we used glue, baker’s twine and tape to hold everything together. It was fairly simple but I also like this tutorial from Vicky Barone if you like a little more detailed instructions.
For more rainy day activities, I also love this rain cloud math game from My Nearest and Dearest or this Rainbow Craft from Growing a Jeweled Rose.
What are your go to activities for rainy days? Hopefully we will get a little break from all this rain soon!
What a sweet little project and those cupcakes look delicious as well. Kisses, lovely
